Just when the Raiders looked like they might be putting things back together, things went sour again. And then turned downright rotten.
At their own 34-yard line with 5 minutes remaining in the third quarter, Derek Carr was sacked. Adam Gotsis was the second man to hit Carr and on his way down, Gotsis’s knee struck Carr in the back.
Carr left the game and EJ Manuel came in. A short time later, Carr headed to the locker room for further evaluation.
We’ll keep you updated, but as of now it doesn’t look good. The Raiders are down 16-7 in Denver with only a couple signs of life in the third quarter, including the 64-yard touchdown from Carr to Johnny Holton giving them their only points in the game.
