After missing Wednesday’s practice with a knee injury, linebacker Cory James returned to practice for the Raiders. Also returning was tight end Lee Smith.

Still sidelined was Gareon Conley (shin), Antonio Hamilton (knee), Marquel Lee (ankle), and Jamize Olawale (concussion). At this point you have to assume these players will not be available this week.

Still limited Thursday were David Amerson (shoulder), Derek Carr (back), Amari Cooper (knee), Gabe Jackson (foot), and DeAndre Washington (hamstring).

For the Chargers, former Raiders offensive tackle Joe Barksdale was downgraded. He was limited in practice Wednesday and missed practice Thursday. He is the team’s starting right tackle so his status is one to watch.

Wide receiver Dontrelle Inman was upgraded to full participation in practice. He was limited in practice Wednesday.

Fellow wide receiver Mike Williams is limited and could make his season debut against the Raiders after missing the first five games with a back injury.
