Watch: Raiders Cordarrelle Patterson’s 47 yard touchdown run

Patterson gives the Raiders the lead with big play

NFL: Oakland Raiders at Washington Redskins Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

With a little over 8 minutes left in the game and the Raiders trailing the LA Chargers 14-10 wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson took a jet sweep to the house from 47 yards out. The Raiders went on to miss the ensuing extra point due to a high snap by long snapper Jon Condo.

Offensive Coordinator Todd Downing has used jet motion consistently before the snap this season so more highlights like this one are very likely. Patterson is too big of a weapon to not get involved and get touches.

The Raiders are up 16-14 and will need their defense to step up and hold onto this lead. It will only take a field goal for the Chargers to win this game and they have done a good job getting their running game going. This game may come down to another kick for the Chargers, hopefully their bad luck will continue for their special teams.
