Raiders wear ‘Vegas Strong’ helmet decals in support of victims of Las Vegas terrorist attack

New, comments

Today the Raiders are wearing decals on their helmet that read ‘Vegas Strong’ in support of a terrorist attack in Las Vegas in which 58 people were shot and killed and hundreds more were wounded.

The decal is a heart shape in the style of the ‘Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas’ but reading ‘Vegas Strong’.

The Raiders are, of course, set to move to Las Vegas as early as the 2020 season, so it’s more than appropriate that they show their support for the victims. Last week the Raiders owner Mark Davis made a statement of support for those affected by the mass shooting. The Raiders also donated $50,000 to a GoFundMe campaign for victims and their families. The NFL matched the donate along with a $50K donation to the Red Cross.

Just below it is the ‘Crucial Catch’ decal for the NFL’s cancer week and to the right of it the American Flag.

On the right side of the helmet opposite those decals is the usual AL shield decal in honor of Raiders’ late owner Al Davis.
