Another decisive loss for Broncos who haven’t won in a long time.

It’s been a while since the Broncos won a game. With the Patriots coming to Denver and routing them, the Broncos posted their fifth straight loss.

The last time the Broncos won was October 1st when they beat the Raiders. At that time they were a mile high on themselves with a 3-1 record heading into their bye. Since then the Broncos not only haven’t won a game, they haven’t even been close.

First up was the winless Giants, who beat them 23-10. The same Giants team that just got beaten up by CJ Beathard to give the 49ers their first win of the season. Then they got blanked 21-0 to the Chargers who lost to the Jaguars today.

Last week they were trounced by the Eagles 51-23 and tonight they got behind early to the Patriots and never stood a chance. It started with a muffed punt converted for a touchdown, a kickoff return for a touchdown, and a blocked punt that resulted in a field goal. That’s 17 points early in the game, all from special teams. That alone is more than the Broncos scored total and they were laughed out of Sports Authority Field 41-16.

During their 5-game losing streak, the Broncos been outscored 165 to 68. Their average margin of defeat is 19.4 and the closest they’ve been in any of their losses was their 10-point loss to the Chief (29-19) in week 8.

Yeah, they’re reeeeaally bad. So, it’s no wonder they’re now 3-6 and tied for last place in the AFC West with the Chargers. The Chiefs and Raiders are on a bye this week. Here’s what the division looks like now:

Chiefs 6-3 (Div 2-1)

Raiders 4-5 (Div 1-2)

Chargers 3-6 (Div 2-2)

Broncos 3-6 (Div 2-2)

Next week the Raiders get to face the Patriots in Mexico City.
