When the Raiders head to Mexico City Saturday night, they will be doing so as 7-point ‘home’ underdogs to the New England Patriots according to Bovada.lv courtesy of Odds Shark.
This should come as little surprise, really. The Patriots are 7-2 and the Raiders are 4-5. Both teams are bipolar, just in different ways.
The Patriots are bipolar as they have the league’s best offense and worst defense. But at least they’re consistent.
We never really know which Raiders team is going to show up from game to game and most games this season, it’s been the bad news Raiders, only showing in flashes the offensive firepower they had shown most of last season. There is consistency on defense, though. They’re nearly as bad as the Patriots every week.
Keep in mind, despite the fact that the Raiders have this game taken from their hope stadium, they figure to have the crowd in Mexico City. And yet still they aren’t expected to get within a touchdown.
