It may be somewhat surprising to you the Raiders could be favored in a game if you watched their performance against the Patriots Sunday in Mexico City. The Raiders were essentially shut out of that game. Down 30-0 by the end of the third quarter, they added a garbage time touchdown in the fourth quarter to lose 33-8.
But their Mierda en Mexico pales in comparison to the Brocky Mountain Osweilers in Denver. The Broncos are currently on a 6-game losing streak dating back to... oh... Well, anyway, after starting the season 3-1, they have taken a Mile High nose dive and therefore are 5-point underdogs to the Raiders in Oakland according to Bovada.lv courtesy of Odds Shark.
Basically, this has more to do with how bad the Broncos have been than anything. Namely their quarterback situation. They benched Trevor Siemian in favor of Brock Osweiler who in the past three games as starter has thrown 3 TD’s to 4 INT and completed just 53% of his passes with a passer rating of 65.5.
Sitting at 3-7 with the season looking like a wash, the Broncos will now turn to Paxton Lynch. Knowing how bad the Raiders’ pass defense is, they will no doubt make him look a lot better than he is, but the Raiders weathered that storm in Miami with Jay Cutler, so the oddsmakers figure they can do it again.
The last time the Raiders players in Oakland was a month ago when they beat the Chiefs 31-30.
