Last Sunday David Amerson traveled with the team to Mexico City, listed as doubtful for the game. He had been running on the sideline during practice, so Jack Del Rio didn’t want to rule him out. Well, the sideline where he remained for the first practice this week as the Raiders prepare for the Denver Broncos.

Also missing practice with injury was Johnny Holton who, despite being cleared for concussion during Sunday’s game and was allowed to return to the field, was not practicing as he is in the concussion protocol. Whoops.

Right guard Gabe Jackson was back on the sideline with an ankle injury and right tackle Marshall Newhouse, who missed last week’s game with a hip/quad injury, was once again limited in practice. As was linebacker Cory James.

A day after defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr was fired — a move Bruce Irvin was NOT happy with — he was missing from practice for issues not injury related. As was fellow linebacker Khalil Mack. I’m sure no one from the media really wanted to talk to them anyway.

The Broncos had five players missing including number one corner, Aqib Talib who has a shoulder injury, number one receiver Emmanuel Sanders (ankle), starting linebacker Shane Ray, and starting defensive end Adam Gotsis.
