Raiders-Chiefs inactives: Despite early reports, Amari Cooper will play

New, comments
NFL: Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland Raiders Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

Friday morning a report came out that said Amari Cooper was not expected to play for the Raiders when they took on the Chiefs in Kansas City. He will play as it turns out.

Cooper was still fighting though a sprained ankle that caused him to miss practice Wednesday and Thursday. Just after the report of him being an expected scratch for a second-straight game, he took the field as a limited participant Friday.

The plan was to test out the ankle prior to game time and if they felt it was at least close to 100%, he would play. That test was successful and Cooper will suit up today.

This is significant, especially considering what Cooper did to the Chiefs in their meeting in week 7, putting up a career high 210 yards on 11 catches with two touchdowns.

Here are the inactives for the game.

OL Jon Feliciano
