Eagles not expected to rest starters as they will have something to play for against Raiders Monday night

At 12-2 on the season, the Eagles have clinched the NFC East, but don’t expect them to rest their starters Monday against the Raiders because they will still have something on the line.

With the Vikings beating the Packers Saturday night, Minnesota improves to 12-3 on the season, just a half game back of the Eagles for the top seed in the NFC. That means the Eagles can’t afford to slip up or risk losing their top seeding and the home field advantage throughout the playoffs that comes with it.

For those who were hoping the Eagles would be on cruise control, just hoping to get into the playoffs healthy, will be disappointed. The Raiders will get the Eagles’ best on Monday night. Whether the Raiders will still have anything more than pride to play for is another story.
