Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio to speak at NFL scouting combine

New, comments

NFL players and coaches have already begun taking the podium at the scouting combine today and continue through Friday.

Among them will be Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio who will take to podium one at 9:15am on Thursday. That’s 6:15am Pacific, so it’s an early morning for him.

The last press conference Del Rio held was the Monday after the Raiders season ended with their loss in Houston on the wild card game.

A few things have happened since then, including major coaching decisions.

Most recently, Del Rio himself received a new 4-year deal from the Raiders. Prior to that, Del Rio made the decision to let Bill Musgrave go and promote Todd Downing from Quarterbacks Coach to Offensive Coordinator. He also added former Chargers Defensive Coordinator John Pagano as Assistant Head Coach - Defense.

Other things up for discussion, outside of draft questions, could be extending the likes of Derek Carr, Gabe Jackson, and Khalil Mack as well as which of the team’s free agents he would like to see return. Though I wouldn’t expect him to reveal much.
