For the most part the first two waves of free agency are done. Those passed on days one and two, leaving the Raiders to pick through what remains.
So far the Raiders have added two players; both on offense. First it was right tackle Marshall Newhouse and then wide receiver/kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson.
It’s time to start thinking defense.
Despite a resurgent 12-4 season in 2016, the Raiders were 26th on defense and still have holes to fill. The draft can help with that, but the more the team adds through free agency, the more flexibility they will have in the draft.
