With the reports today of mutual interest between the Raiders and Marshawn Lynch swirling, Cordarrelle Patterson’s pitch Thursday night to his former Vikings teammate Adrian Peterson was a bit lost in the shuffle.
The newly signed All Pro kick returner and wide receiver spent the past four seasons in the same offense with Peterson as the straw that stirred the drink in Minnesota. Now he is trying to get Peterson to join him in Oakland.

There’s no question Peterson is one of the greatest running backs to ever play the game. The main question is if he has anything left. He played in just 3 games last season before being lost to a meniscus tear in his knee. In those three games he was averaging a paltry 1.9 yards per carry.
Either way, it would seem the Marshawn Lynch situation would likely have to play out before the team would consider moving on to Peterson.
