Hope everyone had a good weekend. If those weekend nights were filled with visions of Marshawn Lynch in a Raiders uniform dancing in your head, the latest update on his situation may be cause for some dreamy goodness.
Ian Rapoport was up early, stoking the burning embers in our hearts, saying that sources close to Lynch say that a comeback is “realer than it’s ever been” and if it happens, it will indeed only be for the Raiders.
2 tidbits on Marshawn Lynch: 1. Source on un-retiring says it’s “realer than it’s ever been” … 2. It’s #Raiders or bust. #BeastMode

The idea that Lynch was entertaining a comeback only with the Raiders in mind has seemed apparent since the first reports came out that the Raiders were considering acquiring him.
Lynch is an Oakland native, went to high school at Oakland Tech, and stayed close to home to attend Cal. His Beastmode clothing line is based in Oakland. If the 30-year-old back does ultimately decide he wants to continue his career, Oakland is the only place he wants it to happen.
Lynch approached Seahawks brass last week and mentioned the possibility of returning from retirement. The Seahawks own his rights, but have moved on at running back and can’t afford the $9 million cap hit that would come with Lynch. And no team would be stepping up to trade for him and his contract. They would essentially have no choice but to release him. And you’d have to think Lynch is well aware of that fact.
