Raiders already taking deposits for Las Vegas stadium

New, comments

“The Raiders are coming” the page says in bold white letters on a black backdrop. Just below it “Place a $100 deposit today to reserve your spot in Raiders history”.

Just a day after the team’s Las Vegas relocation bid was approved by the NFL, the Raiders are asking fans who claim they will fill the stadium in Las Vegas to put their money where their mouth is.

They have set up a page on the team’s website where you can go to put down a $100 deposits for... I guess the right to put down a deposit on a season ticket whenever they become available.

When you scroll down, the page reads

“Declared the brightest place on earth, Las Vegas will shine brighter when the Raiders kick off in 2020.” followed by a CGI video featuring the video renderings from Matica architecture.

The deposit is refundable.

Also in the details, the Raiders commit only to playing in Oakland for 2017, adding that season ticket members and Las Vegas deposit holders will receive information on future seasons as it becomes available.

They also added that while the details of the process for the sale of personal seat licenses (PSL’s) and Raiders season tickets at the new Las Vegas Stadium are being finalized, current season tickets members who place a deposit by September 1, 2017 and whose accounts remain in good standing as long as the Raiders play in Oakland will receive a special opportunity to purchase seats at the new Las Vegas Stadium.

It’s clear the Raiders are wasting no time on drumming up whatever fan commitments they can get for the move to Vegas. Even though they have said they plan to play in Oakland the next two years.
