Today the Raiders began prep for the 2017 season with the start of their offseason program. And later this week we should find out exactly how the upcoming season will be arranged.
Recently at the Detroit Lions’ uniform unveiling, owner Rod Wood unveiled another piece of info. That being that the 2017 NFL schedule will come out this Thursday.

I’m sure a lot of fans have been waiting impatiently for this release and thinking it should probably have come out already. That could be because last year it came out on April 14; nearly a full week before it is set to be released this year.
The preseason schedule (with date ranges for each game) was released a week ago. See that here.
As for the regular season, up to this point all we know is the opponents home and away.
Home:
Broncos, Chiefs, Chargers, Patriots, Jets, Cowboys, Giants, Ravens
Away:
Broncos, Chiefs, Chargers, Bills, Dolphins, Eagles, Washington, Titans
What we find out Thursday is what order they will be in and which games will be in prime time. Every NFL team will get at least one Thursday game.
The Raiders ‘home’ match-up with the Patriots will be played in Mexico City. Last season they played a home game against the Texans in Mexico City. That game was featured on Monday Night Football. We’ll see if it gets primetime treatment again.
