NFL Draft results 2017: Raiders select Florida OT David Sharpe in round 4

New, comments

With their pick in the 4th round at 129 overall the Raiders get their offensive tackle, nabbing Florida tackle David Sharpe.

Sharpe is a 6-6, 343-pound lineman. Most are saying he will be limited to the left side of the line due to having sight issues in his right eye, which would mean he will not be able to compete for the right tackle spot while awaiting a shot at the starting left tackle job after this season.

Update: David Sharpe says reports of near blindness in one eye greatly exaggerated

He started every game at Florida the past two seasons at left tackle. He allowed 3 sacks and 9 hurries last season per Pro Football Focus figures.
