The former Bills middle linebacker initially was waiting out the market for Dont’a Hightower who was taking his sweet time attempting to get the most he could out of the Patriots. As soon as Hightower finally agreed to stay put in New England, Brown hit the free agent trail.
Oakland was Brown’s first visit, and he left without a deal, quoting rapper Moneybagg Yo, saying “Gone. Outta here.” on his way out of town.
From there he headed to Miami hoping they would give him an offer he couldn’t refuse. They apparently didn’t and he headed to Washington to seek his fortunes there. And that’s where he found his home.
Brown had a career year in Buffalo after several years with the Titans. Many teams, including the Raiders weren’t willing to make a major investment in case he was a one hit wonder.
