One of the items on the to-do list the for the Raiders in their relocations to Las Vegas was to not only decide on a site, but to actually purchase the land.
That box was checked today with the team closing on escrow of the 62-acre site at Russell road just west of I-15, southwest of the Vegas strip. The deal was made public by Clark County Commissioner, Steve Sisolak
That has long been the preferred site by the Raiders and thus all renderings put out following the league approval had the site in that spot. You can see all of those here.
The Raiders purchased the land for $77.5 million according per the Clark County Recorder, though the original asking price was $100 million according to the Las Vegas Sun.
