Khalil Mack nominated for Best NFL Player ESPY Award: Vote here

New, comments

On July 12 the ESPN will hold the ESPYs. Among the categories is Best NFL Player. And among the nominees is one Khalil Mack. And the winner is decided by fan vote. So, get busy.

Mack is the only defensive player among the nominees. He is nominated along with Tom Brady, Ezekiel Elliott, Aaron Rodgers, and Matt Ryan.

The favorites should be Matt Ryan and Khalil Mack. Ryan was named NFL MVP last season while Khalil Mack was named Defensive Player of the Year. And we all know defensive players aren’t given MVP awards. Usually it’s a quarterback.

Meanwhile the Patriots proved they could win without Tom Brady for the first four games of the season (3-1), Aaron Rodgers didn’t start playing like an MVP caliber player until the second half of the season, and Ezekiel Elliott was beaten out for Rookie of the Year by his own teammate, Dak Prescott.

Mack led the NFL in QB hurries and put up 11.0 sacks despite having absolutely no help from the interior defensive line and a secondary giving up explosive plays all season long. This should be his award.
