Khalil Mack, Amari Cooper still missing from Raiders training camp, likely out to open preseason

New, comments

Today’s training camp practice is the Raiders last before their preseason opener. Saturday the Raiders head to Arizona for their first preseason game of 2017. And they will be without a few key players for that game.

This week the Raiders had three training camp practices and Khalil Mack was a spectator for all of them. Amari Cooper has been sidelined since the fourth day of camp and remained so for Thursday’s practice.

Though there is no official injury report for the preseason, Mack and Cooper are likely not to be participating. You can add Jihad Ward to that as well. He has been on PUP all camp.

Starters don’t usually play a lot in the first preseason game anyway. But for those fans who will be in attendance in Arizona, don’t expect to see a couple of your favorite Raiders in uniform on Saturday.

Jamize Olawale didn’t practice Thursday for the first time this camp. His status is less certain.

Others still injured include Ben Heeney (NFI), Cooper Helfet (NFI), Keith McGill (broken foot), and rookies Gareon Conley (PUP), and Obi Melifonwu.
