The Raiders head home to Oakland Saturday to face the LA Rams in their second preseason match-up. It’s a renewal of an old rivalry as the two teams once shared the Los Angeles market for 13 years. Now the close proximity will have the two facing each other regularly in the preseason.
Teams typically prefer not to travel a great deal for preseason games. It’s the reason the Raiders play the Cardinals, Rams, Cowboys (who train in Oxnard California), and Seahawks so often in the preseason. They used to face the 49ers each year until fan violence at games put a stop to it.
