Raiders, Titans inactives: Gareon Conley won’t play, Raiders without 3 of top 4 draft picks

NFL: Oakland Raiders Rookie Minicamp Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Each of the Raiders and Titans have released their inactives ahead of their season opening match-up in Tennessee.

Raiders

QB Connor Cook

CB Gareon Conley

DT Darius Latham

S Keith McGill

FB Jamize Olawale

OT David Sharpe

OT Jylan Ware

With top pick Gareon Conley (shin), 4th rounder David Sharpe, and 7th rounder Jylan Ware all inactive and 2nd round safety Obi Melifonwu on Injured Reserve, the Raiders are without 4 draft picks and 3 of their top 4 picks. With Conley not playing yet, TJ Carrie will continue to play the slot corner.

Jamize Olawale (quad) is the only starter who won’t play. He is the team’s only fullback, so there is no one to replace him. Expect to see more of tight end Clive Walford.

The good news is Cory James, who was questionable for the game with a knee injury, is active. The Raiders need all the help they can get at the linebacker spot and James has been the best looking linebacker they have.

Titans

DB Curtis Riley

DB LeShaun Sims

LB Josh Carraway

LB Nate Palmer

OL Corey Levin

LB Kevin Dodd

DL David King

Expected to replace LeShaun Sims at cornerback will be rookie 25th overall pick Adoree Jackson.
