Monday Night Football Open Thread: Chargers vs. Broncos

Now that the preliminary game is out of the way, the final game of the week is upon us and it’s an AFC West matchup featuring two of the Raiders’ most bitter rivals, the Chargers and the Broncos.

The Broncos come into this game so destitute at quarterback that they intentionally gave Brock Osweiler money- real American dollars, no less- to play football. When the Cleveland Browns wouldn’t.

The Chargers, on the other hand, are trying to squeeze one more playoff run from the stone turnip that is the career of Philip Rivers. The Chargers’ offense consists of Rivers, Melvin Gordon, Keenan Allen and the corpse of Antonio Gates. I am uncertain if Los Angeles fields an offensive line. In fact, I’m not sure if the Broncos do either.

Regardless of the outcome of this game, both these teams suck, and are nowhere near the Chefs or Raiders, who might at this juncture be the two best teams in the entire NFL.
