After a season opening win in Tennessee, the Raiders come home to face the Jets coming off a loss to the in-state division rival Bills.

The Jets aren’t expected to win a lot of games this season. They are in full-on deconstruction mode. They have seemed like they were in a transition period for some time now, but that wasn’t working, so drastic changes had to be made.

The Raiders, on the other hand, are past their rebuild phase. Coming off a 12-4 season, and with several key players under contract past this season, they are starting what figures to be some sustained success with foundation pieces in place.

There are still some good players for the Jets, so the Raiders aren’t exactly going to be giving their starters a rest. There can be no let up and I don’t expect there will be.
