I guarantee you as excited as you are about seeing Marshawn Lynch make his Oakland home debut today, it pales in comparison to the excitement Beast Mode is feeling. And that’s saying a lot, cuz the fans are really stoked about it.

Lynch teamed up with Skittles to place five free Skittles vending machines around Oakland today, including one at the Hegenberger Raider Image across the way from the Stadium.

Lynch tweeted about it this morning, saying he was getting the fans game ready.

Number 24 jerseys have long been popular among fans, but prior to this year, most of those jerseys said Woodson on the back.

There are still a few Woodson 24’s out there. After all, not everyone has the means to go out and buy a new jersey on a whim. Wearing a 24 jersey at all will do the trick. Can’t tell the difference from the field anyway. But, make no mistake, there are a LOT of 24 Lynch jerseys out there. After all, his jersey has been one of the top selling jerseys this offseason.

Home openers are always exciting, but Lynch representing Oakland makes this one extra special.

The game has brought the stars out. Among the celebrities on the sideline pregame were comedian George Lopez, A’s legend Rickey Henderson, California Lt Governor Gavin Newsome, and Train lead signer Patrick Monohan who featured Beast Mode in a new music video this offseason.

The introduction of the players is sure to have a reaction that will reach considerable decibels as the Raider Nation welcomes home one of their own.
