Monday Night Football Lions vs. Giants open thread

Watch tonight’s game along with us!

Greetings, Raider fans! The Great Raiderdamus is here with your place to watch the final football game of the NFL’s Week 2, a Monday night clash between the Lions and the Giants. This is the second straight week the Giants are on prime time, even though they have not eclipsed 20 points since November 27, 2016. I am not making this up.

The Giants scored over 30 points in Weeks 15 and 17 in 2015, but they lost both of those games. The last time they scored over 30 points and won was December 14, 2015, in a 31-24 win over the Miami Dolphins.

That’s bad news when their opponent tonight is the Detroit Lions, a team which can score over 30 points in its sleep. Matt Stafford is the NFL’s current highest-paid player, and he deserves it because much like the man from whom he took that mantle, Derek Carr, he IS that team and they are nothing without him.

There are four sureties in life. Death, taxes, the Chargers lose on a missed field goal in the last minute, and the Lions are going to put the Giants over their knee tonight. It’ll be a long, long week for New York sports radio, so I hope Mike Francesa has a fresh pot of coffee brewing.
