Friday brought some bad news for the Raiders. After practicing limited Wednesday and Thursday, Michael Crabtree missed Friday’s practice with a chest injury and his status is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Broncos.
Crabtree suffered the chest injury in last Sunday’s game in Washington when Derek Carr threw too high on a long pass, causing Crabtree to be hit hard by the oncoming safety. Practicing the first two days was cause for optimism, but the downgrade puts his status in doubt. He is the team’s leading receiver with 170 yards and 3 touchdowns along with Carr’s most reliable target, catching 13 of 16 passes thrown his way.
Also questionable for the game is Gareon Conley who missed Wednesday’s practice and was limited Thursday and Friday with a lingering shin injury that kept him out all of camp. Keith McGill is also still feeling the effects of a foot injury he suffered in camp and is questionable because of it.
For the Broncos, Cody Latimer returned to practice Friday and is questionable. Backup quarterback Paxton Lynch is out.
