As of yesterday, we knew eight of the Raiders’ ten practice squad players. Today the Raiders announced all ten practice squad players including a familiar face — 2015 sixth round pick Max Valles.

Player Pos. Ht. Wt. Exp. College

Borders, Breon CB 6-0 189 R Duke

Brown, Fadol DE 6-4 282 R Mississippi

Brown, Pharaoh TE 6-5 246 R Oregon

Calhoun, Shilique LB 6-4 250 2 Michigan State

Hatcher, Keon WR 6-1 212 R Arkansas

Hood, Elijah RB 5-11 230 R North Carolina

Stone, James C 6-3 290 3 Tennessee

Valles, Max DE 6-4 250 1 Virginia

Whitney, Isaac WR 6-2 204 R USC

Valles was originally selected by the Raiders with the 179th overall pick out of Virginia. Seen as a raw prospect who came unwisely left school a year early, he didn’t make the roster out of camp and was re-signed to the practice squad.

He remained on the Raiders’ practice squad most of the season before being signed onto the Bills’ active roster for the remainder of the season. Following that season, he was released by the Bills and spent all of 2016 on their practice squad. Then for the third time in his short career, he was waived on the final cutdown day and returns to where his career began.

The other new addition is center James Stone. He takes the spot the Raiders had intended for Ian Silberman, but Silberman was signed off waivers by the Colts.

Stone was originally and undrafted free agent sign for the Atlanta Falcons in 2014. He appeared in 19 games with 10 starts over two seasons in Atlanta, but didn’t make the team out of camp in 2016 and was out of football. In January he joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a reserve/future free agent and was waived this week in the roster cutdown.
