Jon Gruden just bringing his own band back together, he’s assembling a group of former Raiders coaches. Himself, of course, Offensive Coordinator Greg Olson, and now former Head Coach Tom Cable. This according to Michael Lobardi and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Cable was the Raiders OLine coach under head coach Lane Kiffin in 2007. When Kiffin was fired with cause four games into the 2008 season, Cable took over as Interim Head Coach and then retained the job in 2009 and 2010.

He was most well-known during his time in Oakland for punching an assistant in the face in a coaches meeting during training camp prior to the 2009 season.

Before the 2010 season, the team brought in Hue Jackson as Offensive Coordinator and unofficial head-coach-in-waiting. Following the 2010 season, Cable was fired and Jackson was named head coach.

Since 2011, Cable has been the Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Line coach in Seattle.
