The 2017 season in the books, the Oakland Raiders took their first step in getting ready for the 2018 offseason by signing several players to reserve/future contracts.

Eight of those nine signees finished the season on the Raiders practice squad.

Player Pos. Ht. Wt. Exp. College

Brown, Fadol DE 6-4 282 R Mississippi

Hatcher, Keon WR 6-1 212 R Arkansas

Hilary, Darius DB 5-10 185 1 Wisconsin

Hood, Elijah RB 5-11 230 R North Carolina

Mitchel, Tevin S 6-0 195 2 Arkansas

Northnagel, Bradley LS 6-3 250 R California

Saint Fleur, Joby DL 6-4 253 R NW Oklahoma State

Simmons, Jordan G 6-3 339 R USC

Soto, Shakir DL 6-3 290 R Pittsburgh

The only newcomer among them is former Cal long snapper, Bradley Northnagel.

Northnagel appeared in 29 games at California from 2012-16, serving as the team’s full-time long snapper as a junior and senior. Prior to the 2015 season, he was a jack of many trades, playing on both the offensive and defensive lines as well as at fullback. He is also a Bay Area native having attended Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo.

With Jon Condo’s 12-year NFL career perhaps coming to an end at the age of 36, a long snapper was needed.
