Within hours of reports that that Raiders had interviewed Brian Callahan for their vacant QB coaching position, they have hired him as first reported by Jason Wolf of the Tennessean.
Former #Lions QB coach Brian Callahan is joining the #Raiders, per source. #Titans OC search continues.

Callahan had also interviewed with the Jets and Titans, but opted to join Gruden with whom his father Bill once was offensive coordinator before taking over as head coach in 2002 after Gruden was traded to Tampa. We all know what happened next.
Brian Callahan is considered a young rising star among the coaching ranks. He spent the past two seasons as QB coach for the Lions. Matt Stafford had the two lowest interception rates of his career the past two seasons with Callahan as QB coach.
Prior to that he was with the Broncos from 2010-15, holding the title of QB coach in his final year there with the Broncos winning the Super Bowl. Not that Peyton Manning needed much of a QB coach, but Callahan likely learned quite a bit about the game from being in that QB room.
