Greetings, Raider Nation! There is one more first-round playoff game this afternoon, and it’s an intra-divisional game between the NFC South-winning Saints and the Wild Card Carolina Panthers.
The Saints are led by Drew Brees at quarterback along with an strong passing game featuring WR Michael Thomas, but they really lean on their running game and the two-headed attack of Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara. Their defense is also quite good, and is coached by former Raiders head man Dennis Allen, who learned to coach on the way from Oakland to New Orleans.
The Panthers made the playoffs and I’m not sure how. They are led by QB Cam Newton and first-round running back Christian McCaffrey, and look to pull a road upset over the high-powered Saints today.
Enjoy the game!
