Today the Raiders announced that they have activated CB Daryl Worley from the Reserve/Suspended list. The cornerback was suspended for four games by the NFL after an April 15 arrest in Philadelphia for DUI, resisting arrest and possession of a firearm. Worley won the Super Bowl with the Eagles last season after being drafted by the Panthers and starting 14 games in Carolina.
Worley, who will wear number 20 for the Raiders, was able to play for the team in the preseason, where he showed plenty of promise. He will add much-needed depth in the Raider secondary and join corners Rashaan Melvin, Gareon Conley, Leon Hall and Nick Nelson Sunday as they try to slow down San Diego’s passing attack.
In a corresponding move, the Raiders released DE Tank Carradine, who played in one game and recorded one tackle for the team.
