There were two players missing from the Raiders practice today. They were two of the team’s top three wide receivers. Martavis Bryant was missing as expected. He has an injury to his PCL (knee) and according to Gruden will be out for this week with an indefinite timeline for a return.
Jordy Nelson, who also left with an injury in Sunday’s loss to the Chargers, was missing from practice as well. He has a bone bruise, and Gruden already said they plan to list him as questionable for the game this week in Arizona, adding “It’s getting better but we’re concerned obviously.”
In response to these injuries, the team called up undrafted rookie receiver Saeed Blacknall from the practice squad and rookie 7th round pick Marcell Atement figures to see his first action.
The Cardinals had a whole host of players missing from practice. We’ll have to wait until Thursday to see how many of them are serious and how many are rest or precautionary.
