Along with the news today that cornerback Leon Hall is out for the Chiefs game with a back injury, comes word that Hall has been placed on a season-ending IR. This may mark the end of Hall’s stint with the Raiders, where he started four games and amassed 25 tackles and three passes defensed.

To replace Hall, the Raiders signed cornerback Montrel Meander. Signed as an undrafted free agent this season by the Browns, Meander began his college career at Texas and then transferred to Grambling State. As a senior at Grambling last year, Meander had two interceptions, two passed defensed and 49 tackles while starting all 13 games of the season.

Meander was with the Browns for this preseason and then made their practice squad, from which the Raiders signed him today. The Raiders need all the secondary help they can get against an electric Chiefs passing attack on Sunday.
