Make that all three practices this week without starting guards Kelechi Osemele and Gabe Jackson for the Raiders, which usually signals they will not play. Officially they are questionable and Jon Gruden said the training staff will work them out in Cincinnati on Saturday to make the final call. Should they not go, the Raiders will be rushing a couple newly signed players into action.
The starter for Jackson would be former Cowboys tackle Chaz Green who was signed on November 27 and made his debut last week against the Steelers getting four snaps on special teams.
In place of Osemele would be tackle/guard Denzelle Good. The 6-5, 345-pounder was claimed off waivers from the Colts on December 3. He too made his Raiders debut last week, seeing one snap on special teams.
Backing up the center position will be Cameron Hunt, who was signed this week. Hunt spent training camp with the team. No offense to Hunt, but God forbid the Raiders lose Rodney Hudson. Three newbies inside with rookies tackle on the outside would be a disaster waiting to happen.
Update: Kelechi Osemele has been downgraded to OUT.
