In what could be the Raiders final game in Oakland, they will host the Denver Broncos. Fittingly enough for one of their oldest and most bitter rivals to be the opponent for their home finale. And also appropriately enough, it’s on Monday Night Football, the night Raiders owned once upon a time.
There is, of course, still a chance this is NOT the final game in Oakland. Mark Davis has said he’s keeping his options open including playing out 2019 in Oakland as was originally the plan before leaving for Las Vegas in 2020.
Regardless, this will be treated like it could be the last game with everyone giving their farewells just in case. That will be the overarching theme of this primetime match-up.
Both teams have been eliminated from the playoffs so no one is playing spoiler. Unless you mean spoiling their draft position. The Broncos are 6-8 and could draft anywhere from top ten to top 20. The Raiders are 3-11, guaranteed a top ten pick, and currently looking at the second overall pick with the number one overall pick still a possibility.
