This is it. The final game of the 2018 season for the Raiders. The Chiefs will play more games, but the Raiders could have a hand in how many they play. If the Chiefs win, they win the AFC West, get a first round bye and homefield. If they lose and the Chargers win, the Chargers win the West and the Chiefs play go on the road for the wild card round.

That’s a big difference. Especially when you consider the Chiefs have won exactly one playoff game in 25 years including five losses in wild card games. Last year the Titans came back from down 21-3 to beat them in the wildcard round. And who can forget the thrilling, come-from-behind win by the Colts over the Chiefs in the 2013 wildcard game? The Chiefs were up 38-10 in the third quarter of that game.

So, basically both these teams have something to play for. The Chiefs want to have one fewer opponent in the playoffs and to play in the friendly confines of Arrowhead, and the Raiders want the opposite. They also want to end their 5-game losing streak in Kansas City.
