Monday the Raiders claimed former Colts offensive lineman Denzelle Good off waivers from the Colts.
The massive 6-5, 345-pounder has played at guard and at both tackle spots in his four seasons in Indianapolis. The 2015 seventh round pick (255th overall) out of Mars Hill College appeared in 26 games with 20 starts. He appeared in two games at right tackle this season with one start.
Adding a young, veteran right tackle is a solid move right now for the Raiders. Rookie Brandon Parker has struggled mightily at the position and it is uncertain if he can be the future at the position. Good could get a shot this season or be valuable depth with potential to return to compete for the job next season. And his versatility is also a value as well.
In a corresponding move, the Raiders have waived OL Ian Silberman.
