With the 49ers and Cardinals standing in the Raiders’ way of the number one overall pick, a win by either of them and the Raiders pick rises (providing, of course, the Raiders lose as well, which they did vs the Chiefs). That happened Sunday with the Cardinals shocking the Packers 20-17. It also was the end of Mike McCarthy’s tenure as the head coach in Green Bay.

That wasn’t the only good news for the Raiders’ picks. The Bears were stunned by the Giants, which in a way works two-fold for the Raiders. They own the Bears first round pick, which rises, and the Giants add their fourth win to move two games away from the Raiders spot in the draft order.

Those two games were welcomed after the Cowboys surprised everyone by taking down the red hot Saints on Thursday night. What’s interesting though, it the only picks that moved was the Raiders own picks. The others stayed the same.

Here are the Raiders picks look like now according to tankathon.com.

Round 1, pick 2

Round 1, pick 22 (from DAL)

Round 1, pick 26 (from CHI)

Round 2, pick 33

Round 3, pick 66

Picks in rounds 4-7 will change drastically following announcement of compensatory picks.

It’s back-to-back home games for the Raiders as they welcome the 7-4-1 Steelers next Sunday. It shouldn’t be hard to root for the 49ers to win this week. They face the hated Broncos.

Key draft order games this week:

Team to the left is whose win would help Raiders draft position

San Francisco 49ers (1) vs Denver Broncos

Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys (22)
