Several player who would have been missing from practice for the Raiders are not because this late in the season, if they look like they’re going to miss several weeks, they just place them on injured reserve. That is where Martavis Bryant, Shilique Calhoun, and Reggie Nelson headed Wednesday.
Replacing their roster spots, the Raiders made a few roster additions. One addition was running back CJ Anderson who Jon Gruden said was signed due to a knee injury to Doug Martin making his status for next week uncertain. But as of Wednesday, Martin was practicing with that knee injury. He was limited, but his participation is a good sign he could play.
The only player missing from practice was linebacker Kyle Wilber. Though there were a few players who were limited including starting interior offensive linemen Kelechi Osemele, Rodney Hudson, and Gabe Jackson.
Steelers running back James Conner didn’t practice and will not play Sunday. Also missing was tackle Marcus Gilbert who has not played since week five.
