NFL strength of schedule 2018: Raiders have league’s third easiest schedule

We’ve gotten used to the Raiders having among the toughest schedules in the league for a while. Much of that has to do with how tough the AFC West has been combined with facing some tough divisions. Well, it looks like both those areas have changed this season.

The entire AFC West is among the bottom easiest schedules in the league with the Raiders landing tied with the Bengals for the third easiest schedule in the league, with an opponent 2017 winning percentage of .473. Only the Titans (.465) and Texans (.453) have easier schedules.

This year the AFC West was a combined 30-34 last season. They face the AFC North (29-35) and NFC West (34-30). With the Raiders finishing third and in the division, they face the third place finishers in the AFC East (Dolphins) and AFC South (Colts). That leaves the Raiders facing just three 2017 playoff teams — the Chiefs, Steelers, and Rams — and six winning teams including the Chargers, Ravens, Seahawks.
