Watch: Top draft prospect RB Derrius Guice emulates ‘Beast Mode’ running style

Taking a running back with their top pick seems unlikely for the Raiders. But if they were to consider it at 9/10 or trade down, there’s one back who thinks his style compares directly to the guy who currently carries the rock in Oakland.

Former LSU RB Derrius Guice had his press conference today at the combine in Indianapolis where he was asked if there was an NFL back to whom he would compare himself. His answer; “Beast Mode. The Skittle man.”

“I see angriness,” Guice said of Marshawn Lynch’s running style. “I see somebody who refuses to go down. When I run I really think about him every time and when I go back and watch him I’m like ‘man, I really run like this dude, it’s crazy.’ Because growing up, my favorite running back was Reggie Bush. And then as I got older and started really studying running backs, I’m like, man, Beast Mode reminds me a lot of myself. So, that’s who I like to watch a lot now days.”

Guice is projected to be selected in the first round of April’s draft, perhaps even the top half of the first round.
