The loose ends continue to be tied up by the Raiders. The team has opted to bring back Exclusive Rights Free Agent Denver Kirkland with a tender according to a source.
A former undrafted free agent in 2016, the Arkansas product was considered a nice get. He was initially named to the practice squad as a rookie and was called up to the active roster in week five. He showed promise as a rookie, starting four games at guard and other times entering the game as as a tackle eligible in jumbo packages.
Last season, he was expected to be solid depth at guard, but went down with an injury and spent the season on injured reserve.
Oakland came into this offseason with five Exclusive Right Free Agents, and we know now four of them are returning. Just James Cowser remains, and it seems a safe bet he will return after spending all offseason representing the Raiders and the NFL in China.
The other three who have also been tendered are Shilique Calhoun, Erik Harris, and Giorgio Tavecchio.
