It must be the second wave because the Raiders have grabbed their surfboard. Moments after reports the team was hosting former Texans safety Marcus Gilchrist for a visit, they have set up a visit with former Lions linebacker Tahir Whitehead, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Lions’ free-agent LB Tahir Whitehead is visiting Oakland, per source.

Whitehead is a versatile linebacker, which is what Reggie McKenzie likes. The former 5th round pick has played every linebacker spot for the Lions over the past five seasons and has twice started every game at the middle linebacker spot.
The 27-year-old seems to fit best as a weak side linebacker where the Raiders last season split time between Cory James and Nicholas Morrow.
