Report: Former 49ers round two pick Tank Carradine visiting Raiders

This is becoming the day of “Oh yeah, that guy!” with regard to some of the players the Raiders are reportedly hosting for free agent visits. The latest is former 49ers defensive end, Tank Carradine according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

As Rap notes, today the Raiders are hosting the defensive players. Carradine is the third reported visit by a defensive player today after safety Marcus Gilchrist and linebacker Tahir Whitehead.

It’s a good thing too considering the defensive starved Raiders have signed nothing but offensive players so far, which is eerily familiar to last offseason.

Carradine isn’t going to turn many heads as an addition. The former 2nd round pick has just 5.5 sacks in four season with the 49ers and has started just 8 games in his career. But he’s got one of the coolest names in football history. Tank Carradine sounds like a made up name of an action hero. He hasn’t much played like one, though.
