It looks like the Raiders have added a veteran cornerback

As far as social media posts go, this one from Shareece Wright seems pretty definitive. The 7-year veteran cornerback and former USC Trojan posted on his Instagram page that he’s “going going back back to cali cali” in the immortal lyrics of Notorious B.I.G. adding “Nothing like that silver and black! God is good!” with a picture of the Raiders shield.

Wright is a former 3rd round pick of the Chargers and spent his first four NFL seasons there. Which means the Colton California native and USC alum didn’t leave Cali until he signed with the Ravens in 2015. He spent two seasons there before joining the Bills last season.

He appeared in 79 games with 47 starts with 2 career interceptions, 41 passes defended, and 269 tackles.

Wright isn’t the cornerback most thought we’d hear about today out of Oakland. Former Colts cornerback Rashaan Melvin is visiting the team today, but as of yet we have not heard of any deal being struck.
