During a busy free agency day for the Oakland Raiders that included many marquee signings, the team also signed punter Colby Wadman to the roster on Friday.

Wadman, a California native, attended Thousand Oaks High School and UC Davis (2013-16).

At UC Davis, Wadman appeared in 34 games punting 182 times tallying a 40.2-yard gross average, 57 punts inside the opponents’ 20-yard line and a long of 65 yards. In 2016, Wadman had his best year as he averaged a career-high 43.2 yards gross average and pinned 17 punts inside the 20-yard line.

Over the course of Wadman’s four-year collegiate career, he was a three-time All-Big Sky Conference Honorable Mention.

This isn’t Wadman’s first time with Oakland or in the NFL. He participated in the Raiders’ rookie mini-camp in 2017 on a tryout basis and with the Indianapolis Colts on a tryout basis last year. However, this is Wadman’s first time officially signed by an NFL team.
