It’s been a couple days since Shareece Wright announced he was joining the Raiders. That’s an eternity in the social media age as well as the age of free agency when the news comes through a firehose. Well, it’s Monday and business is back up and running in Alameda and the Raiders have now made it official on their end.
Wright will be entering his eighth NFL season in 2017, beginning his career as a third round pick by the San Diego Chargers in 2011 and has since played with the Baltimore Ravens (2015-16), and Buffalo Bills (2017).
The 7-year veteran has career totals include 79 games played with 48 starts, 255 tackles (226 solo), two interceptions, 36 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
Last season with the Bills Wright appeared in 12 games, starting 5 and recording 42 tackles with one interception in helping Buffalo reach the postseason.
A native of Colton, Calif., the 5-foot-11, 185-pounder played in 35 games at USC, finishing his college career with 127 tackles, 3.5 sacks, one interception and 13 passes defensed. Wright served as a team captain his senior season.
